The Forest Police Department is not a 24-hour department. Therefore, matters are sometimes handled by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office. If an officer is not on duty, or not physically in the office to answer the phone, calls will automatically rollover to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Central Dispatch. At that time, follow the prompts to speak with a dispatcher.
