Forest Police Department Bicycle Registration Event – September 5

The Village of Forest Police Department will be hosting a bicycle registration event on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the rear of police department. This event will allow residents to register their bicycles, scooters, or e-bikes with the police department to assist in recovering the item should it be stolen or returning it should it be found unattended or abandoned.

There is no cost for the registration. Each bicycle, scooter, ore-bike must be present at the time of registration so that it can be assigned a specific tag number that will correspond with the owner’s information.

Tags may also be acquired after September 5  by making an appointment with the police department Monday through Friday.

Just a reminder, motorized scooters are not permitted to be operated on roadways within the village and all persons riding bicycles or e-bikes must follow all traffic laws.
