Village Partners with Wessler Engineering for Major Wastewater and Sewer Upgrades

The Village of Forest has entered into an agreement with Wessler Engineering, Inc. to carry out comprehensive improvements to the community’s wastewater treatment lagoons and collection system. The project includes dredging the existing lagoons, installing new aeration and disinfection systems, constructing a new storage building and lift station, and replacing the current vacuum sewer system with a modern gravity collection network covering approximately five miles of new sewers. Work is expected to kick off in March 2026, with final bids targeted for August 2027. The total estimated engineering fee for the project is $2,410,000, with funding coordination through multiple state and federal agencies including OEPA, USDA Rural Development, and the Ohio Public Works Commission.
