Changes to golf cart and utility vehicle inspections

The Village of Forest Police Department will be continuing to perform golf cart and utility vehicle inspections for 2026 and beyond but please take note of the following changes to the manner in which they will be done.
Inspections will be conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. By appointment is the preferred method but walk-ins may be considered on the prescribed days if scheduling allows.
The registered owner of the golf cart or utility vehicle must be present for the inspection and have with them their driver’s license and the title or memorandum title to the vehicle. Fees for inspections will be $25.00 to persons with a Forest Zip Code and $50.00 for persons with a different Zip Code. Money collected for inspections will be used to provide for needy children / families during the Christmas Season.
