| Police Chief Howard R. Rickabaugh |
Chief Rickabaugh has over 30 years of law enforcement experience. He has served with the Lucas County Sheriff's Department, the Grand Rapids Police Department, the Woodville Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department and has been with Forest Police Department since 1994. He has also served as a member of the Woodvile Village Council. He served as a paratrooper with U. S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and as a Military Policeman in the Ohio National Gaurd. He is a Past President of the Woodville Kiwanis Club and Past Commander of the Woodville American Legion Post.

The members of the Forest Police Department are committed to excellence in the performance of our duties by upholding the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and laws of the State of Ohio and ordinances of the Village of Forest. We will strive to reduce crime and provide a safe environment for all our citizens.

Chief of Police, Lieutenant, Sergeant, Detective, and five Patrol Officers
The department opeartes patrol vehicles equipped with Radar, Video Camera, Mobile DataTerminals, Window tint, Excessive Noise Meters, Digital Cameras, Portable Alcohol Breath testers,Laptop computers for report taking and Standard Police Equipment. The Department operates breath testing equipment at the station .
The Department is fully computerized and has the Ohio Law Enforcement Officers Tool Kit as its records management system. The departments records management is compatible with State and Federal Crime Statistics Collection programs. It also participates in the Ohio Local Law Enfrocement Information Sharing Network. The Department utilizes hand guns, shot guns, carbines, and automatic rifles and Officers are required to qualify with each weapon he uses.
